Celebrities and “ordinary folks” have been finding themselves in the crosshairs at work due to something that they said on social media that came to their boss’s attention.
The question is: should an employee’s social media account even be the boss’s business?
Watch the video above and let us know if you think that what we put in our “private space” is fair game for our bosses.
I LOVE THIS!!!! Very balanced approach to a very relevant topic.

Like this topic. I guess people here still avoid of expressing themselves on social media if their boss or managers are connected with them, though some would limit the members for viewing their posts.
I think it’s weird to communicate with coworkers by social media, traditional ways may be better, so our privacy wouldn’t be bothered.
I think freelancers are fine with this issue, they could work with different people and environments.

Thank you for reading/watching. You make some good points, although I will say that even freelancers need to be careful. You may not have to worry about the perceptions of a boss, but you do have to project a certain image to your clients.

That’s true. Freelancers have different problems to cope with. I guess people need to be careful no matter what industry they are in now.
Social media is a good platform for marketing, but it’s risky as well.

This is a good topic and is getting more important as more bosses are being intrusive in their employees’ non-working hours.
